Kim completed her MSc Biokinetics, BA HMS Hons (Sport Sci), BA HMS Hons (Biokinetics) and BSport Sci degrees (all with distinction) at the University of Pretoria, whilst also being awarded the BASA student of the year award in 2014. Her Masters thesis was titled: ‘The effect of the Pilates method of exercise on the pain & functionality of the upper extremities in female office workers in Pretoria’.
As an ex-international Artistic gymnast, her love for movement developed at a young age. Working as a Biokineticist, she enjoys being able to help others achieve and maintain a high level of physical health & well-being. Her strong background in sport has enabled her to apply those techniques and principles to her work, specifically during injury rehabilitation or prevention.
Kim is vastly experienced in working with a variety of orthopaedic and sports injuries, as well as the rehabilitation of individuals with chronic diseases and disabilities.
She has a special interest in working with the elderly, as well as clients with neuromuscular conditions (including Stroke and Brain Injuries, Parkinsons, MS, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular dystrophy, Paraplegia and Tetraplegia).
